Description

Provide financial analysis support to Freeport-McMoRan management. This position will have primary responsibility for reviewing and analyzing financial forecasts, budgets and actual results. Provide decision support analysis to assist with business decision making. Analyze impact of changing business trends on current and future operating results.

  • Responsible for reviewing branch financial information loaded into our financial system (Hyperion Financial Management) to ensure accuracy and consistency with FCX practices
  • Act as a liaison between various locations and financial analysis team
  • Compile, consolidate and analyze accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports
  • Prepare variance explanations for financial performance and costs analysis
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires international air travel. In accordance with Freeport-McMoRan’s requirement for all employees whose job requires international travel, if you are hired you will be required to submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel by air internationally, unless the company has granted a medical or religious accommodation.

  • High School diploma or GED and nine (9) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in prolong intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training, OR on the job training, etc..) in Accounting or Finance; OR
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and seven (7) years professional experience in accounting or finance; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and five (5) years of accounting or finance experience; OR
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and three (3) years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Strong intra- and inter-department communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel (less than 5%)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • CPA designation
  • MBA
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)


Criteria/Conditions:

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Compensation:

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $79,000-$109,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
