Geosyntec, a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmental professional services firm is seeking an enthusiastic, resourceful, and experienced Senior Financial Analyst in our Boca Raton, Florida office to support the international professional financial activities related to annual operating budget, budget versus actual variance reporting, external financial statement audits, and assisting with acquisitions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with interpreting and developing budgetary policies, practices, and procedures and maintaining the operating budget model;
- Develop financial projections, forecasts and pro forma statements using available tools;
- Assist with month-end processes and financial statement review of international operations;
- Perform "what - if" scenario analyses on certain macro and micro risk factors, conduct benchmarking exercises and various complex “on the fly” ad-hoc analyses;
- Support operations with pricing on cost-based proposals;
- Work closely with cross-functional business partners to understand and provide insights into financial performance;
- Work with the Manager of Financial Analysis and Planning to prepare schedules for year-end audits;
- Develop and document procedures related to areas of responsibility;
- Assist Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with internal review of compliance with Company’s financial policies;
- Respond to inquiries from the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and other Accounting and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests; and
- Support Manager of Financial Analysis and Planning with special projects, reporting and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with financial planning and analysis or a master’s degree and three (3) years of experience. Current or prior experience with a private equity, public or large private firm is strongly preferred. (required)
- An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting and compliance requirements. (required)
- Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated experience building complex forecasting models. (required)
- A good understanding and experience with private debt facilities, reporting requirements and covenants. (required)
- Highly proficiency with Microsoft Excel and building database queries with having completed “Training the Street” or similar course optimal. (required)
- Working knowledge of mid-tier or higher accounting software preferred but not required.
