This position is at a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber lasers and amplifiers for diverse applications in numerous markets. Diverse lines of low, medium and high-power lasers and amplifiers are used in materials processing, communications, entertainment, medical, biotechnology, scientific and advanced applications with many new products displacing traditional technologies. The products you would be making are available globally for OEMs, system integrators and end users across a wide range of industries.

Ardent Staffing is currently seeking a Senior Optics Manufacturing Technician:

• Direct Hire
• $32.00 - 38.00 per hour

Daily responsibilities for the Sr. Optical Manufacturing Technician

• Perform blocking, grinding, beveling and polishing of various crystals and optical materials.
• Operate and maintain grinding and measurement equipment
• Daily interaction with supervisor to provide completion date for all jobs
• Maintain traceability of all data for process control

Requirements for the ideal candidate

• MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 7 years experience in a high volume atmosphere of manufacturing crystals and optics.
• Knowledge should include the use of measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, interferometers, and auto-collimators.
• Must be able to read and review blue prints
• Must be able to inspect small parts using a microscope
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and prioritize work load
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
