Senior Mechanical Engineer - Wastewater

Project Description:

Nicholas O'Dwyer is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within our Wastewater Department at our head office in Dublin. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team on International and Domestic Wastewater Projects including:

• Portfolio of Design and Build projects in Sub Saharan Africa and Central Europe
• Worldbank and EU Funded Wastewater Tenders
• Irish Water Design and Supervision frameworks
• Severn Trent Water Design Services
• Yorkshire Water & AMP7
• Designer to a number of Tier 1 & 2 Contractors in UK

Project Tasks:

The successful candidate would be working as part of a team in the areas of:

• Feasibility Assessments
• Preparing Preliminary Reports
• Scoping Investigation Contracts
• Detailed Design including wastewater networks, pump station and treatment plants
• Preparing Technical Specification and Contract Documents
• Procurement Process
• Coordination of inputs from other team members
• Client liaison.

Key Requirements:

• Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ post graduate experience, but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates
• Ideally the candidate will have experience in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment plants
• You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Water Engineering exceptional candidates in other engineering disciplines such as Process, Chemical, Civil or Electrical who show an aptitude for the wastewater sector would also be considered.
