At Dart, we strive to hire people who are passionate about their work and excited to be part of a growing, innovative company. We are looking for a detailed oriented individual that programs and operates Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and can inspect moderately complex manufactured parts.
Day-to-Day Role:
- Conduct complex inspections of machinery and components utilizing various mathematical and instrumental inspection procedures and equipment
- Administer verification procedures for repairs and gauge control
- Issue and receive instruments, parts, and tools through quality control crib area for inspection of parts produced by machine operators
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, process sheets, and other written documentation including various technical references, and be proficient in geometric tolerencing
- Complete, distribute and file appropriate logs, checklists, documentation of test results and other paperwork as assigned
- Make suggestions for improvements including action plans to achieve success
- Promote good employee relations and high morale
- Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible
- Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- Requires one of the following:
- Five (5) years of experience as an inspector of fabricated metal parts, or
- Five (5) years of experience as an industrial CNC machinist, or
- Five (5) years of experience as a CNC machine operator using mills and/or lathes
- Five (5) years of experience with verification procedures for checking equipment, parts and jobs in and out
- Five (5) years of experience using a CMM
- Five (5) year of experience using a comparator
- Create complex CMM programs
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, process sheets and other written documentation
- Proficient with geometric tolerancing sufficient to be able to mentor others
- Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, algebra, and trigonometry
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and indicators
- Able to obtain a valid license to operate a fork truck and overhead crane
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
