This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be a driving member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining code and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will lead a range of highly complex and diverse team initiatives and provide ongoing support to the members of your team as well cross functional members across the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Work closely to collaborate with internal team members and external partners in the design, development, and implementation of the technical aspects of Salesforce related projects, mainly built on but not limited to the Force.com platform.
Manage multiple projects at a time, following standards, guidelines, and design patterns for CRM & Cloud Applications based on industry and organizational best practices.
Hands on design and development of new and existing custom solutions mainly built on the Force.com platform leveraging technologies such as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, web service integrations and data migration.
Identify and recommend solutions for application defects, determine root causes of defects, and minimize the introduction of new defects during break/fix resolution.
Perform unit testing and project management activities from small to large sized initiatives.
Stay up to date on industry/technology trends relevant to the Software Engineering discipline.

Qualifications:
Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.
5+ years experience designing end to end custom solutions leveraging Salesforce platform.
Full stack development experience with both Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
Ability to troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis on system defects including the appropriate system changes required for resolution.
Build and release management experience tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Flosum, Copado, Gearset.
Strong front-end web development experience with HTML/JS/CSS.
Experience with Web Services, APIs and system integration tools (REST, SOAP, ETL).
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Available to work effectively with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments.
Ability to think and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience administrating the Salesforce platform including setup administration and configuration, process automation and custom code development.
Experience developing advanced solutions with Salesforce technologies including Lightning Components (LWC/Aura), Apex, Process Builder and Flow.
Modern Salesforce development practices like continuous improvement, version control and deep understanding of working within Salesforce Governor limits.
Experience with additional Salesforce related products and applications such as FinancialForce, Pardot, Einstein Analytics, Salesforce Billing and Oracle CPQ.
Understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
Experience working with ETL tools such as Oracle integration Cloud, Mulesoft or Informatica.
Salesforce Certifications: Admin/Advanced Admin, Platform Builder, Platform Developer I/II.
