Your Role:

There is an exciting opening for an innovative scientist to join our Viral Vector Gene Therapy Team. The successful candidate will lead technology and innovation projects related to viral vector manufacturing. The candidate is expected to identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and products into manufacturing platforms at the contract manufacturing organization. The Senior Scientist will challenge the norms of the industry, identify new solutions and drive these them into products or processes utilized at the contract manufacturing organization. The position is responsible for reporting project results throughout the organization and directly to customers in presentations and seminars. Further, the candidate will cooperate to drive our strategy in this space by participating in Industrial Partnerships and driving customer collaboration projects.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering or other scientific/engineering discipline with 3+ years of professional experience in viral vector manufacturing or BioProcessing; or BS Degree in related discipline with 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with product/process development in the Biomedical/BioProcessing Industry.
  • Experience in the development, preparation, and presentation of customer-facing materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand and analyze data across disciplines quickly and effectively.
  • Capable of developing and coaching to lead scientific and engineering challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and marketing stakeholders.
  • Experience and office computer software systems. Experience with DOE-based software is desired.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and to work efficiently on challenging complex projects with aggressive timelines.
