The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Strategy organization is currently seeking a Senior Strategy Manager - Space Exploration Systems to join our team in: Arlington, Virginia; Houston, Texas; Huntsville, Alabama or Titusville, Florida.

This is a unique opportunity to lead strategy for Boeing’s human space exploration business. In this role, the successful candidate will build market and investment strategies, merger and acquisition pipelines and drive strategic partnerships.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead employees conducting market analysis, developing strategy, performing Merger & Acquisition activities and integrating product decisions

  • Develop and implement integrating organizational plans, policies and procedures and guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquire resources for organizational activities, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

  • Develop and manage relationships and partnerships with strategy customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide approval of high-level strategy technical approaches, products and processes

  • Lead, develop and motivate employees and mid-level managers

  • Develop and improve skills for future executive level Strategy positions

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, competitive assessment, business intelligence and/or market analysis

  • 3+ years of experience with NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with NASA acquisition processes

  • Experience with human space exploration markets and technologies

  • Experience building and briefing presentations to senior executive leadership

Relocation:
