Senior Systems Platform Engineer
Overview
Mastercard is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Data Protection team.
Be a pivotal member of our Commvault implementation, TSM migration/decommission, and Cisco UCS, Oracle ZFS and Data Domain configuration and management
- Responsible for supporting backup and storage technologies and initiatives
- Be a primary engineer in all technical aspects of the data protection infrastructure.
- Work in close partnership with our operating system, security, network, and application support teams to power the next generation of Mastercard products and services.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the Commvault backup solution
- Provide IBM TSM backup escalation support
- Perform engineering support for the backup storage infrastructure (Commvault Hyperscale nodes, Data Domain, ZFS, CEPH cluster)
- Create and modify CHEF cookbooks
- Conduct data protection audits
Experience
- Manage a large backup environment consisting of Commvault and IBM TSM
- Experience with management of Cisco UCS, Oracle ZFS, and Data Domain
- Knowledge and experience with CHEF
- Be available as needed to address any emergency that may arise
- Ability to document solutions and designs in Confluence and speak to a broad audience regarding the same
- Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure timely and accurate provisioning of storage resources
- Trouble-shoot and resolve data protection related issues
