Primary Function
This role has global responsibility for designing recruiting marketing, recruiting management and onboarding/offboarding processes and maintaining global system/technology to support those processes. This position also guides and helps manage the team that delivers recruiting service as defined in our Manufacturing Recruiting process model and support for hourly hiring in the U. S.
The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager/HR Business Partner actively recruits, sources, screens, interviews and recommends external and/or internal candidates for all level jobs, including entry level, experienced professional/technical, IT, support staff and hourly, and possibly management. May utilize the services of employment agencies. Places employment ads in appropriate sources, including the Internet and print media. Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process, including EEO statistics.
Based out of our World Headquarters Offices in Milwaukee, WI., this role is eligible to participate in our remote work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week. New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Determine the short- and long-term recruiting strategy for the organization and adjust this strategy as company, economic and labor market conditions warrant
- Develop and implement a talent pipeline strategy that ensures future talent needs are met
- Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure results, impact and cost-effectiveness of the strategy
- Manage in concert with our HR leaders the talent planning process and facilitate movement of internal talent
- Manage external resources, including recruiting firms
- Leverage applicant tracking and hiring management system to manage the entire candidate process and ensure optimal employment practices and compliance with government regulations
- Implement on-boarding processes and programs to ensure successful integration of new employees to the company through both our hiring and acquisition process
- Manage the company-wide relocation program; relocation benefits for transferees and new hires and the relationship with our 3rd party relocation services vendor
- Direct the organization's recruitment activities to ensure the best selection for each role and the recruitment process is conducted efficiently, economically and in accordance with the organization's policies and standards.
- These activities may include advertising, interviewing, testing, selecting candidates; checking references; negotiating employment offers; orientation and introductory training.
- Liaise with managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies that are appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization's overall HR strategy.
- Evaluate external labor market conditions and internal employee turnover trends to recommend changes to the organization's recruitment strategies.
- Adapt existing recruitment activities to changing market conditions.
- Select and manage ongoing relationships with recruitment agencies to ensure satisfactory standards of service.
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of Professional Salaried and Manufacturing/Hourly recruitment professionals.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
- 5+ years of related work experience
- 2+ years of supervisory/ leadership experience
- Talent sourcing/recruiting work experience
- HR generalist work experience is a plus
- Demonstrated success in attracting, assessing and recruiting talent for an industrial organization
- Strong business acumen
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Familiar with current technology, which supports the identification, acquisition and on-boarding of top talent
- Demonstrated abilities to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with all levels of employees
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to deal comfortably with all levels of management
- This position will require some business travel (20%)
Additional Qualifications:
- PHR or SPHR certification is preferred
