As a Senior Product (UI) Designer (Branding) you will join a team of 35+ designers. The foundation of the product design team is based on four pillars (UI/UX, Research, Design System and Branding). About the role
The Senior Product (UI) Designer will be part of the Branding team and be responsible for bringing our customers brands to life on our platform. The Branding team specialise in creating stunning and effective employee recognition programs for our customers.
The Senior Product (UI) Designer will be responsible for gathering requirements, understanding business problems and opportunities, empathizing with users to figure out their needs, and designing solutions based on the design thinking methodology. This role is primarily focused on UI and customer Branding but as a pillar of Product Design there is overlap with UX and Research.
The Senior Product (UI) Designer will be expected to juggle multiple deadlines, multiple brand styles, delivering prototypes and high fidelity mock-ups. They must have excellent communication skills as they will be communicating directly with our customers during the course of their duties. They will also involve themselves in a wide range of team initiatives to support Product Design.
What you’ll be doing
  • Translate customer branding into beautiful UI design solutions.
  • Apply strong design, conceptual and problem-solving skills, to deliver creative ideas for business requirements.
  • Execute design solutions from ideation to high fidelity work.
  • Communicate and present design ideas clearly to stake holders.
  • Juggle multiple deadlines and multiple brand types.
  • Work with development teams to assess the feasibility of implementing and providing continuous support during implementation.
  • Communicating design decisions and providing feedback to other designers.
  • Ensuring the quality and standard of your work alongside our design system.
  • Designing and creating prototypes in Figma.
  • Participate in broader design team’s goals and activities to help improve our processes.
  • Mentor others and help grow the knowledge of the design team.
What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 6 years working in a product design (UI) role or similar.
  • The fullest understanding of graphic design, typography and digital standards is essential.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and skills as applied across a number of Brands and Industries.
  • A consistent positive attitude with an optimistic outlook on challenges and very good emotional awareness.
  • Experience running workshops with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Understanding the complexity behind design decisions and being able to effectively communicate with others.
  • Experience with wire-framing & prototyping.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Supports managers in reviewing the quality of team outputs.
  • A strong portfolio displaying design processes and execution of concepts.
  • Ability to manage time effectively among multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with Figma or Sketch would be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential with an aptitude for self-organisation and commitment to quality.
Nice to have
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience working on SAAS products in a B2B landscape.
  • Experience with Jira, Trello & Confluence.
