Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Training Devices Sr Principal Control Account Management experience. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program Training Devices team.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The successful candidate serves as liaison between Program management and planning, technical managers, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and customer Program Control Account Managers (PCAMs). Adherence to budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost and schedule control methodologies and tools. Conducts a variety of compliance and surveillance activities including Earned Value Management, Financial Attributes, training, and direct program support to ensure compliance for programs within a validated Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Working side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on all program reporting and executive level presentations.
  • Works with Suppliers to support program processes and procedures
  • Works with Sub-IPT and Business Management to review and prepare monthly Financial Attributes compliance statements
  • Review, prepare, and analyze Monthly Management report EV data for submittal to the IPT Program Manager
  • Assist on sub-IPT program EVM Analysis in ensuring technical, cost, schedule, and program management compliance
  • Prepare analysis in support of monthly cost/schedule metrics reviews
  • Facilitate Variance Analysis Report (VAR) and Estimate at Complete (EAC) development and approval
  • Support reviews and audits by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Internal Audit organizations
  • Participate in internal EVMS surveillance
  • Applies knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions and performance.
  • Manages communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program stakeholder needs.
  • Identifies and addresses program impacts through systematic, proactive, approaches to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors and promptly resolves conflicts.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree, 10 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, project management and financial/cost experience OR 8 years with Master's Degree.
Four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience monitoring/controlling program plans, cost and schedule baselines that meet both contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Active Secret Clearance and the ability to be upgraded and the ability to obtain program access.
  • Experience with Microsoft project

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:


  • Master's Degree
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
  • Experience with P6/Primavera, Cobra, Empower, or Open Plan
  • Familiarity with Defense Cost and Schedule Management processes/tools
  • Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as the DCMA and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)


Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
