BrookLAN is New York’s largest home for all things esports, video games, and tabletop. From LAN center to kitchen, we are looking for part-time staff to help in our mission of creating the best possible hub for the gaming community.

This is a part-time job, 1-2 shifts per week. Saturday & Sunday day shifts from ~11am-5pm. Hours and Days do not usually change - this schedule will be consistent from week to week, but there will be opportunities to cover shifts and to work events as well.

Pay is minimum wage plus tips but having your NYC Food Protection Certificate training can get you an immediate raise.

Our open hours are 5pm to 1am on weekdays, and 12pm to 2am on weekends.

We want to hire ASAP, so we will be reviewing applications, interviewing, training, and hopefully hiring within the next week.

Required skills:

-Ability to work quickly and efficiently as a team

-Basic transaction math

-Able to recognize Counterfeit Money, IDs, Credit Cards, etc

-Knowledge of Cocktail making (basic or better)

-Can Clean and Organize workspace during service. And able to clean to a high standard after service.

-Good people skills and able to deal with customers in a friendly manner.

-Good Personal Presentation and Hygiene

-T.I.P.S. training

-New York Food Protection Certification (greatly preferred)

Also part of the job are Running Food, Cleaning your workspace, Prepping syrups and juices, Stocking, Moving Tables and Chairs for customers, sweeping and mopping the restaurant, and anything else that comes up during open, service, or shutdown.
