We are a small manufacturing company of fans for applications in the HVAC, road construction, agricultural, and automotive industries. Wingfan, LP has been in business since 1928 and currently has locations across the globe.

We are looking for a motivated individual with the skills to handle our shipping department in a small manufacturing setting, individuals who can manage their time and have a strong sense of pride in their work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office products, the internet and be computer literate. This position relies heavily on computer work.
  • Create shipments for customer orders by creating shipping labels for small packages and LTL
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to navigate shipping websites and customer portals in order to create shipments and schedule pick ups
  • Communicate with third party carriers to set up shipments
  • Must be knowledgeable with computers in order to navigate our internal customer data base
  • Monitor and read reports pertaining to Purchase Orders and their delivery dates.
  • Liaison with Purchasing, Sales, Quality Inspectors, Warehouse Staff, Production, and Management.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities to a small shipping crew
  • Works with the Material Coordinator to control receipt of inventory and material handling
  • Receives incoming shipments, checking the packing slip with actual shipment for completeness and accuracy before placement in appropriate warehouse location
  • Identifies and reports all overages and shortages to purchasing
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of receipt of all RMA’s
  • Responsible for performing cycle counts when discrepancies are discovered and notifying the appropriate inventory control personal when necessary
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and unload vehicles
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a face paced environment
  • Create shipping crates or other special shipping requirements
  • Package orders per customer request
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, coworkers, and customers
  • Knowledge and experience with material handling devices (carts, fork trucks), personal computers
  • Proficient using MS office Applications (Word, Excel)
  • Forklift Certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
