You are the critical piece between our manufacturing and our customers because you will pick, pack, ship, and receive all products and materials. Shipping & Receiving Clerks verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. You will compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. What you'll be doing: • Greet drivers and customers who enter the Shipping office Assist drivers and customers with issues Confirm pickup number with drivers and provide instruction for pickup Confirm delivery for receivables • Type correspondence to carriers, customers, and the Shipping team • Assign time-sensitive, high profile, white glove, and load discrepancy communications to the Shipping Expeditor • Schedule freight pickups and containers using SSD and scheduling board • Adhere to and follow all quality guidelines; continually check materials and orders to ensure accuracy • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment; maintain fork truck by completing proper inspection and reporting any maintenance issues immediately to supervisor and maintenance department • Prepare orders for shipment; retrieve materials and stage, wrap and strap skids as required or select pre-assembled orders • Recommend method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, carriers, routes, and rates • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications • Load and unload trucks, flatbeds, and containers • Prepare shipping paperwork (domestic & international), bills of lading, and maintain documentation of orders shipped • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies • Schedule LTL carriers for daily pickup • Operate fork truck or use hand truck to lift and transport raw materials and finished products while adhering to all power industrial equipment rules and safety requirements • Receive merchandise, check and sign delivery slips; print proper receiving/transfer documents and route incoming materials, supplies, or equipment to the appropriate department or area within the same day received • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, record shortages and discrepancies; work directly with Purchasing team to resolve any discrepancies on deliveries • Receive Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA); work with Quality and Supply Chain teams to determine disposition What you'll bring to the table: • High School diploma or GED OR 4+ years of machine operator and manufacturing experience • 2+ years of experience in a shipping department • 1+ year of experience driving a fork truck • Experience using Excel and programs for shipping What we offer you: • Competitive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance coverage • 401k with a company match • Earn PTO hours immediately • Tuition reimbursement • Opportunities for development Ecore International is an equal opportunity employer (Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans).
