ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of group.
Essential to this PositionResponsible to Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare all shipping and receiving documents in a timely and accurate manner. Hands-on Superviosr that will assit in shpping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, checking on materials and or porict. Matches ASN and BOM's. Follows good manufacturing procedures, Read and verify customer manifest, work oder, shipping order or requistion to determine itesm to be moved gatherd or shipped. Abiity to operate timekeeping system hand scanners and balance daily payroll hours.

Work Experience Required
At least 4 years relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
- Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
