Hummingbird House is located in Hilliard, OH and committed to offering unique educational services to all children in a familiar home based setting. We offer evaluations, tutoring, therapies and workshops to support the diverse needs of students with disabilities or learning differences in our community. Currently, we are trying to build our calendar of offerings to share with families for Summer 2023.

Most of our services are offered through multiple independent contractors who also have a full time job in school districts, charter schools or other agencies. Ideal independent contractors include Intervention Specialists, Teachers, Paraprofessionals, ABA Therapists, Counselors, Occupational Therapists or Speech and Language Pathologists. Hummingbird House provides a safe space as well as a budget for marketing/advertising for your services, scheduling and billing support. Job Openings

Our business is currently looking for the following individuals to serve Central Ohio students.

Social Skill Group Leaders - our independent contractors typically charge $20+/hour per student in a group. Ideal group sizes are 2-5 students at a time of similar age, ability and skill need. We are getting requests for PreK/Toddler parent & kid groups as well as school aged and young adult groups.

Workshop Instructors - teach what you love and what you know. We are looking for unique skills that you can share with our community. We are getting requests for cooking/kitchen basics, art/craft projects, and finance/budgeting but are open to adding instructors in all areas. Our workshops are offered in a series or one time events. Instructors set the prices inclusive of any materials you need to provide and generally range in $10-$40/per person attending.

Tutors - general academic tutoring as well as adaptive skills and executive functioning instruction is needed for school aged students throughout the calendar year. Tutoring fees for our independent contractors range from $25/hour to $50/hour for specialty services (Orton Gillingham and SAT/ACT prep)

Requirements

• Appropriate licensure, experience and/or certifications for the services you offer
• Clear Background Check or valid ODE license
• Appropriate experience in the field such as an Intervention Specialist, SPED Classroom Staff, SLP, OT, PT, Transition Coordinator, BCBA, etc.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

• After school
• Choose your own hours
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• working with students with disabilites: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
