Job description

Main responsibilities:

• Lead a small team of software engineers (direct and indirect reports);
• Oversee and make individual contributions to the creation of software components within a stage-gated product development cycle.

This includes the generation of:

• System and software architectural and design specifications;
• Software requirements specifications and verification & validation plans, including definition of inter-system communication interfaces and protocols;
• Participate in the development of embedded electronic circuitry for new products to ensure smooth integration of hardware and software functionality;
• Participate in verification and validation of software;
• Using modern test automation and reporting tools as well as system level product validation;
• Support, maintain, and refactor existing software products by finding solutions to reported problems and integrating new features.

Required:

• (MEMs or semiconductor processing)
• Experience with Si wafer fabrication processes
• Proven track record of success developing application and library software using C|C++ and C#|.NET;
• Proven track record of success developing software for embedded systems including knowledge of multiple architecture schemes (DSP, ARM). Knowledge of the Analog Devices Blackfin DSP

• Detail-focused with excellent problem-solving skills in order to resolve complex technical issues and plan new software designs for reliability, extensibility, and reuse;
• Team player with the ability to work in a faced-paced multi-disciplined product development environment;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desired:

• 10+ years-experience in embedded systems software development and software project management;
• Experience with optical | imaging systems;
• Experience with USB, Ethernet, PCIe, Thunderbolt, and other serial protocols;
• LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic;
• Familiarity with modern software development tools and industry practices;
• Familiarity with software quality management systems in regulated industries;
• Cross-platform development for Windows and Linux.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience: 7+ years-experience in embedded systems software development and software project management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
