Duties:

• As Solar Service Electrician you will assemble, install, and test all PV-related electrical/electronic appliances, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Maintain, repair, or replace PV-related wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure that work complies with electrical and building codes.
• Connect solar panels and inverters and other high-voltage equipment to the building’s power supply.
• Test PV electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Trouble shoot electrical system issues.
• Perform Site visits prior to installation.
• Be present for electrical inspections.

Requirements and qualifications:

• 2+ years of Residential Electrical/Solar Experience.
• Familiarity with Codes.
• Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
• Must be experienced with all required hand/power tools associated with the electrical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret single line drawings.
• Previous experience in Renewable Energy / HVAC industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and kneel without assistance.
• Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
• Being able to commute to sites in Cape Cod, MA.
• PV Solar installation experience is preferred but not required.
• Electrical License ideally.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently lift, carry, move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, when performing essential job functions
• Bend, stoop, crouch, ascend, and descend on a regular basis when performing essential job functions.
• Constantly observe, assess, inspect, detect, convey, and exchange information when performing essential job functions.
