Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire Soldering Technicians for a company located in North Austin who manufactures printed circuit boards and other board assemblies. You will be responsible for soldering components to printed circuit boards and other board assemblies.

Starting Pay: $17.00/HR

Schedule: Monday- Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately interprets various types of drawings, bill of materials, and diagrams.

• Solders electronic components both surface mount and through-hole devices to printed circuit boards. Removes and replaces components as required without damaging pads or boards.

• Responsible for output of an error-free quality product.

• Solders cable assemblies to connectors; solders components to printed circuit boards.

• Works under general supervision.

• May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.

• Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies feedback to improve performance.

• Follows policies and procedures according to company policy.

• Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and goals.

• Completes tasks correctly within a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail.

• Observes safety and security procedures.

Qualifications:

• Two to five years of related experience and/or training.

• Must have good or correctable eyesight and cannot be colorblind.

• Basic computer skills necessary. Must be able to identify standard electronic components.

• Soldering experience and familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards preferred.

• Manual dexterity needed for manipulation of small electronic parts, soldering and assembly work.

• Must be required to solder to Class II.

• Regular attendance is required.

• Ability to work overtime may be required on an occasional basis.
