Position Overview:
With focus on safety, quality and productivity this position solders together electronic components into assembled product. Solder and assemble printed circuit boards using soldering irons. Tinning and cleaning soldered components. Help ensure the quality, integrity and certification properties of products manufactured is maintained. Observe all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Observe, obey and enforce all safety rules and quality standards
· Perform soldering operations using various tools such as soldering irons and solder pots.
· Perform tinning operations using the correct solder and flux.
· Add through hole components to PCB’s using the correct process, solder and flux.
· Add and remove surface mount components to and from PCB’s without damaging the board or component.
· Visually identify surface mount components and locations on PCB.
· Melt and separate soldered joints to repair misaligned or damaged assemblies, using soldering equipment.
· Apply flux to workpiece surfaces in preparation for soldering.
· Heat soldering iron or workpiece to specified temperature for soldering, using gas flame or electric current.
· Dip workpieces into molten solder or place solder strip between seams and heat seam with iron to band items together.
· Align and clamp workpieces together, using rule, square, or hand tools, or positions items in fixtures, jigs, or vise.
· Melt and apply solder to fill holes, indentations, and seams of fabricated metal products, using soldering equipment.
· Able to crimp pins and connector on to wire
· Handling and installation of various connector applications
· Familiarity with all components to assemble PC boards
· Be able to handle and apply coating of resins and epoxies required for the complete assembly of PC boards
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
REQUIRED:
Minimum 2 years prior experience in Electronics and PCB soldering
Effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team
environment.
Strong levels of organization, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical / electrical drawings, route sheets.
PREFERRED:
5+ years prior experience in Electronics and PCB soldering assembly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
