RemoteThe Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) Applied Analytics team is looking for a solution architect focused on the development and deployment of data-driven systems solutions designed to improve performance in the planning and execution of Raytheon's business. Primary areas of focus will include alignment and optimization of financial and operational plans, maximizing performance capabilities, identifying risks, and delivering predictive indicators for business decisions.
Our team collaborates closely with operations, supply chain, factory, and other core manufacturing execution functions to identify supply and demand risks and make recommendations through complex data models, simulations, and visualizations. The role offers opportunity to participate in the long-range strategic planning process as well as the opportunity to solve unique business problems that arise on an ad-hoc basis
The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about driving action through facts and data, possess the ability to effectively organize and distill data, proactively ask appropriate questions to understand hypotheses and requests, and visualize and communicate complex data in a compelling manner to a variety of audiences. The candidate will need to learn business processes and build strong partnerships and networks across the organization to have a meaningful impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain data-driven systems solutions
- Effectively plan and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams on business initiatives
- Develop and manage data pipeline architectures supporting multiple reports, tools, and systems
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to yield actionable insights, identify of trends, measure performance, and visualize disparate sources of data
- Engagement in data governance council to define, develop, and review standards, guidelines, and data models to promote data quality and best practices
- Generate models to optimize factory productivity, customer satisfaction, and attainment of financial targets given a set of constantly changing supply constraints
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with data cleaning, curation, mining, manipulation, and analysis from disparate systems
- Must be a US Citizen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work and influence others in a matrixed organization
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to filter, extract, and analyze information from large, complex datasets Knowledge of database structures, modeling, and designs
- Experience in SQL, ODBC, Snowflake, and database design and implementations
- Experience with Python, R or other programming languages
- Experience with advanced Excel, advanced power query
Desired Skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
- Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning methods
- Ability to understand complex systems and processes
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services
- Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Experience working with machine learning models
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or related technical field.
Desired Education
- Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or related technical field.
