ExpertHiring is looking to hire a K-4 Special Education Mentor Teacher for our site in Waltham, MA who are looking for full school year 2022-23. This assignment would provide you an opportunity to work with great professional.

Assignment details:

• Number of Openings: Special Education Teacher (K-4)
• Age-group: K-4
• Case Load: Approximately 8-10 students per caseload-number varies based on enrolment and enrolment date.
• Number of Sites: One Site
• Duties: Provide special education services and individualized instruction to students with IEPs. Attend PPTs. IEP writing. Create individualized goals and objectives based on data review. Data analysis. Standardized Testing. Special Education testing for initial referrals and re-evaluation. Communicate with parents, staff and students on a regular basis.
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: August 2023
• Working hours: 7:00-3:45
• Availability to interview: ASAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess students' abilities and craft teaching plans.
• Adapt learning materials to students' needs.
• Keep track of and reflect on students' progress.
• Monitor children's behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed.
• Find engaging activities to teach skills (e.g. drawing and theatre drama)

Requirements:

• Valid Massachusetts state license as a Special Education Teacher K-4
• 1+ Years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher
