The Global Product Operations organization delivers the holistic product strategy for Visa and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products into markets. The Portfolio Operations team is accountable for driving transparent and consistent portfolio management practices to ensure the highest impact investments are prioritized

We are seeking for a team player, self-starter who enjoys solving problems, using data to drive insights, influencing stakeholders to bring consistency and alignment, and who wants to successfully impact the future growth of Visa.

Position Summary

This role will report to the Vice President of Product Operations and will help define and execute on product portfolio management practices, operating models between Global and Regional teams, and support planning and day-to-day portfolio management activities, in close partnership with the Product Management and Development teams. This role will also help redefine and manage the product governance process.

The ideal candidate will be a structured, critical thinker with excellent communication skills. S/he has the ability to make the complex simple.

Extensive experience in program or portfolio management, and product development/management is critical. S/he is thoughtful, curious, and analytical with a desire to make an impact. Experience in today’s complex, global payments ecosystem is a foundational aspect of the role.

Product Portfolio Operations –Snr Director

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for managing R&D investment product portfolio for Visa
  • Coordinate across our Product and Technology partners to ensure we are capturing the necessary data to drive the R&D investment views, including performance on investments
  • Drive the investment inputs/output and approvals
  • Help coordinate, and drive consistent, cadence of executive level portfolio health session
  • Develop and manage a product portfolio prioritization framework to maximize return on portfolio investments
  • Improve visibility into the entire product investment lifecycle, and ability to level it up for executive consumption to drive more real-time decisions
  • Meet regularly with key Product and Tech Leadership to ensure alignment on data and changes required to bring in new insights
  • Maintain a suite of reports that measure and monitor R&D investments and performance

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications

•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD• 15 years Program Management/Portfolio Management experience for product portfolio

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15rs of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD); PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • 10+ years product development experience, preferably in the payments industry
  • Strong financial background/experience in investment portfolio management
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing, guiding and providing mentorship to varying levels of staff
  • Results-driven and able to collaborate with management and colleagues to share responsibility for end-to-end solution
  • Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, including C-level executives, product, and technical stakeholders,
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with internal and external clients
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, self-motivated, self-managed
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Adept strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent MS Office experience (Project, Power Point, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • Experience working in agile development environment is preferred

Work Hours:
Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 165,400.00 to 215,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
