Sr. Graphic Designer

Archipelago Strategies Group, Inc. (ASG) is looking for a Sr. Graphic Designer to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a structured, collaborative professional with at least 5 years of experience in generating visual concepts in response to client briefs, covering all media platforms, such as printed promotional materials, videos, online content, or other forms of media. As a Sr. Graphic Designer, you will seek to influence changes in audience behavior through ideas, creativity, and the use of media. The Sr. Graphic Designer is expected to continuously evolve design strategies which promote excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Introducing and applying expert art direction to the visual elements of creative projects
• Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns
• Inspiring and motivating ASG’s clients to be creatively progressive, through the application of fresh and inventive visual work
• Collaborate seamlessly with creative director, designers, and project managers to ensure the strongest possible solutions
• Taking ownership of the visual elements of creative work for new business pitches
• Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns.
• Report daily time spent on client accounts using company’s time management application
• Embrace a passion for creativity and apply best practices for awareness, education, acquisition, and retention across all channels
• Daily participation in all-staff meetings.
• As needed, perform additional tasks to support the effective operation of ASG.

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration, and animation
• A refined sensibility to color, composition, typography, and iconography
• Broad understanding of marketing design and layout
• Ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts
• Ability to confidently explain and support thinking/strategy, both internally and externally
• A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients
• A passion for marketing, advertising and commercial art
• A keen eye for visual details and accuracy
• Demonstrated resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
• High level IT skills in the latest art and design packages
• A good awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
• An innovative approach to the media and the ways in which marketing and advertising is carried
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and monitor several projects and deadlines on a daily basis
• Ability to understand the cultural nuances of diverse communities
• Self-driven, pro-active, ability to work effectively and independently or in a team
• Responsible, organized with outstanding attention to details
• Cares about leaving people in a better place

Requirements & Qualifications

• Access to the internet is required
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during project peaks is required
• A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university, with a degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of agency/marketing/creative experience producing impactful and strategically sound creative work
• Bilingual highly preferred, fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
