WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR


These roles will predominantly support the Primary Processing area of operation or Modern Oral/Traditional Oral platforms and associated activities.

  • Performing routine, non-routine, and complex task assignments to support SR&D strategic initiatives.
  • Assisting with work streams associated with regulatory requests or development and implementation of improved product platforms.
  • Contributing to work streams associated with the identification, development, and implementation of new technologies and processes/methods that reduces product cost.
  • Operating/using various types of equipment, machines, and instruments to achieve desired outcomes per product platform.
  • Weighing, blending, cutting, drying, and sampling various types of tobacco.
  • Weighing, combining, mixing, and sampling tobacco, derived from tobacco, or non-tobacco materials
  • Leading and/or assisting in executing product development trials as well as commercial production at times.
  • Performing and maintaining calibration verification checks on equipment/instruments to be used within the processes.
  • Maintaining integrity and cleanliness of equipment, instruments, and work environment for efficiency of work.
  • Leading and/or assisting in maintaining material inventories and associated supplies.
  • Receiving and shipping of materials.
  • Preparing and submitting samples to laboratory for various analysis.
  • Maintaining knowledge of MES and PDM systems.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Capacity to occasionally lift/position materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of making decisions and adjusting to meet objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant experience or any furthering education certification with one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to operate industrial forklift equipment, powered lifts, and use ladders.


BENEFICIAL

  • Experience using computer-based process control systems.
  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Experience with tobacco or derived from tobacco products.
  • Experience in a small-scale batch operation processing environment.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
