Description
The Staff VP Operations & Execution for the Federal Health Products & Services is responsible for claims processing and customer service responding to written, telephone and electronic inquiries for all 14 Anthem states. The team also handles refund and recovery actions, reviews audit listings, handles reconsiderations and appeals and focuses on performance improvement for FEP through the customer service in-line quality and call-coaching program.
Oversees daily management of operational activities and facilitates end-to-end resolutions for the business
Create a supportive culture that drives high performance
Develops, implements, and manages a strategic plan for operations and execution; resolves issues and provides guidance.
Manages execution of enterprise portfolios and business sponsoring projects of the business unit; facilitates end-to-end funding, scheduling, escalation and delivery of project work.
Lead the Operations budget preparation and Business Plan completion
Review and approve subrogation settlements
Ensure timely, appropriate recoveries and application of refunds
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports to ensure culture of accountability, excellence and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Work Force Management to ensure excellent customer experience and attainment of operational goals
Partner with Compliance/Audit Team to ensure timely completion of audit requests and listing reviews
Partner with training team to deliver courses tailored for hybrid workforce
Develop, execute and monitor strategies to ensure both production and quality goals are met.
Consistently look for opportunities to modernize and increase the efficiency of operations
Collaborate with other FHPS and enterprise areas to ensure excellent member experience.
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years management experience, including minimum of 5 years strategic planning or vendor management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Federal and/or Commercial health plan operations experience.
Preferred
PMP Certification
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $140,616 to $281,232.
