SUMMARY
Inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoicing against items received.
Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags or bin labels on merchandise and display areas when appropriate, referring to the price list for accurate information.
Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
Stocks paint and sundries from overstock areas.
Assists at product counter, as necessary.
Maintains store front for cleanliness and product presentation.
Provides customer service by answering questions and directing customers to product location.
Keeps paint storage areas in order.
Cleans display areas, shelves, and aisles.
Assists customers and co-workers in carry out of orders and supplies.
Pulls and stages store items for delivery to established procedure.
Assists with lawn care and facility maintenance as needed.
Participates in all required training assignments.
Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
