Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The Store Support Purchasing manager will provide daily support and direction to the Purchasing Assistants to maximize service levels to stores and Sheetz technicians through inventory management and replenishment of maintenance parts. Communicate with suppliers to identify and resolve issues with parts and equipment. They are also responsible for maximizing warranty claims and reporting on issues/opportunities with specific vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
- Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
- Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the department.
- Monitor annual budgets for assigned area of responsibility to maximize profitability.
- Maximize ROI on warehouse and truck inventory.
- Review, measure, and manage parts usage and impact to service levels.
- Monitor vendor performance and service levels with respect to on-time delivery, stock outs, and product quality at point of receipt.
- Drive participation in RFI and reverse auction events
- Source, bid, and manage all outside service vendors
- Develop reporting to highlight opportunities with truck/warehouse inventory build, while driving enhancements to the operating system for technicians and stores.
- Manage all aspects of warranty claims process
- Develop and maintain operating performance metrics
REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
- 4 year degree in business or business related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience
- Three years related experience in buying / purchasing capacity with a distributor/ manufacturer or retail buying experience required
