What We Need
CEI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Element Fleet Management, is looking for a Subrogation Collections Negotiator (Remote) who will play a critical part in engineering top-notch products and services in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization. You will be able to grow alongside North America’s best and brightest professionals in fleet accident, safety, and risk management.

As the Subrogation Collections Negotiator, you will be responsible for settling claims with the adverse party. This includes 3rd party carriers, the 3rd party directly, or individuals as well as coordinating liability disputes with our customer’s liability carrier.
A Day in the Life
- Profile new and existing accounts and initiate collection recoveries through both verbal and written communications.
- Negotiate and document settlement offers.
- Pursue claims and secure collection as quickly as possible while maximizing collection from at fault 3rd party.
- Processing of claims involving uninsured motorists including payment plan negotiations and evaluation for legal and/or collections referral.
- Work with the various resources to determine location of the at fault party whose whereabouts are unknown.
- Review the at fault parties’ financial capabilities to ensure all possible avenues of recovery have been examined.
- Evaluate the claim to decide if it should be referred to arbitration, suit, or collections. Prepare any such claims for advancement.
- Coordinate, schedule, and follow up on claims with recovery vendors such as outside collection agencies or arbitration.
- Must handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls and can manage these in conjunction with daily workload.
- Properly document claims, manage claim workflow, subrogation notes, and subrogation statuses.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Previous Subrogation or claims collection background preferred
- CSRP - Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional Designation or equivalent a plus
- High speed internet connection and quiet work space in your home
