Position Overview:
The Human Resources Supervisor will direct the Human Resources activities to ensure the facility meets all state, local and federal requirements while complying with Crown policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Human Resources Supervisor responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Perform as a partner along with the rest of the plant management team. Act as a liaison between the plant floor management and the Plant Manager with responsibility for all aspects of human resources in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Provides hands-on employee relations and support to employees of Crown. Coordinate employee communications and meetings to keep employees informed.
- Strong presence on the manufacturing floor interacting with employees on all shifts, responding to employees issues/concerns in support of a positive employee relations’ environment
- Employee relations issues may include but are not limited to; resolving conflicts, implementing disciplinary procedures, developing and rolling out improvement plans, investigating and resolving harassment claims and implementing required employee actions.
- Labor relations may include but not limited to grievances, mediation, and negotiations.
- Responsible for all areas of talent acquisition. This would include sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, background screening and reference checks
- Responsible for orientation/onboarding program for the employees
- Documenting all appropriate investigations and maintaining proper files at the plant location
- Performance management to include leadership of employee appraisal processes, development and corrective action programs
- Evaluate the training needs of the facility and along with Corporate HR team develop/design, roll-out and conduct training on a variety of training topics that will benefit the location
- Coordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate Insurance
- Coordination of Workers Comp and other related leave issues
- HRIS system administration including payroll issues, employee data input, daily attendance, and other related areas
- Maintenance of employee files and records
- Process Payroll for the hourly employees of the plant
- Managing A/P duties of the plant
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or a related discipline required.
- 2 to 5 years in an HR role
- Working knowledge of all local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Ability to work off hours at times to support employees on all shifts
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Requirements
- Labor Relations experience
- EHS experience
- AS400 experience a plus

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt as business needs dictate.
- Proven success in talent acquisition at all levels.
- Experience developing and facilitating training.
- Strong relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated employee relations skills.
- Experience developing, building and maintaining strong business partnerships.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Generally works in an office setting but will be required to spend time each day inside a plant environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
- The noise level is frequently loud.
