Supply Chain Specialist Description

Our client in the industrial industry is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join their tight-knit team in Fraser, Michigan. You will work with manufacturing partners and establish forecasted needs to manage and execute the company’s inventory and delivery requirements. To be successful in this role, you should be a great communicator with the ability to multitask in an organized and poised manner. Our client is looking for someone with at least five years of relevant procurement experience including knowledge and exposure to the industrial or manufacturing industry This is a great opportunity to join an organization that trusts its employees to run and manage their own division without a lot of micromanagement or red tape.

Supply Chain Specialist Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the purchasing of products
• Research and determine safety stock levels
• Establish forecasting and planning through inventory positioning
• Collaborate with customer service on inventory availability
• Contact and manage relationships with suppliers
• Maintain purchase, service, and work orders in the ERP system
• Develop metrics for monitoring purchasing and supplier performance
• Collaborate with management on plan and inventory forecasting

Supply Chain Specialist Qualifications

• 5+ years of supply chain/procurement experience required
• Manufacturing or Industrial experience required
• Inventory management experience required
• ERP experience required
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
• Must be willing to commute to the office in Fraser, MI
