OR Surgical Technologist

Kansas City Orthopeadic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, 17 Inpatient Unit beds with 8 state of the art surgical suites. We have been serving the Kansas City area for over 20 years. Our hospital offers our staff work life balance, a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio, Monday through Friday day schedules, no nights or weekends and a generous PTO policy.

Job Function:

The Surgical Technologist, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and or the Nurse Manager, handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. This position has an understanding of the surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. This position has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the surgical procedure and is maintains constant vigilance of the sterile field.

Requirements:

1. 1-5years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

2. Licensing/Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), Surgical Technology Program Completion Preferred.

3. Required: BLS
