We"re currently recruiting a dedicated Sustainability Hse Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.As a Sustainability Hse Manager, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. Your key responsibilities will include:
Take personal ownership to act as an advocate for health and safety, with excellent personal behaviours
Develop and support the rollout of activity for improved sustainability standards
Support the team in delivering on-site activity that aligns with Compass Net Zero targets
Identify opportunities and solutions to improve the environmental and sustainability of our operations
To drive cultural change in safety behaviors, ensuring safety is a priority for all
Manage the “good catch” programme, investigating any good catches raised
Act as a Compass advocate, maintaining a positive professional manner at all times
Work in partnership with our client organisation to develop improved safety culture alignment
Ensure all HSE information, instruction, training, and supervision is provided and correctly documented for all employees to enable them to carry out their work safely and effectively
Assist in identifying additional training needs
Review elearning data, support team members as required, ensuring all e learning is complete and up to date
Ensure that all HSE incidents are correctly reported and investigated with relevant reviews of work procedures
Ensure all relevant paperwork and administration is compliant and correctly maintained
To complete all required audits ensuring agreed deadlines are met
Manage and maintain the Kelsius system ensuring correct use is adhered to by all
Implement the requirements of HSE campaigns that are initiated to improve HSE performance
Proactively Identify and implement systems and procedures to improve ways of working to support our safety culture
Responsible for enforcing any action to be followed in food safety or health & safety crisis situation
To accompany and facilitate any requirements for local enforcement officer visits
To support the implementation of any environmental and sustainability initiatives
Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients & customers
Address and action team performance consistently in a timely and formal manner through company standard procedures

Has a proven track record to deliver consistent excellent safety standards
Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities with a hands-on approach
Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH regulations in a fast-paced environment
Is positive, passionate, and enthusiastic and is able to support the delivery of change at pace
An active interest in sustainability and environmental improvements
Proven ability to identify and implement systems and procedures to improve safer ways of working
Has the proven ability to train and develop safety behaviours across a large team, with strong people skills
Acts in line with guidelines and procedures lead by example
Has the ability to deliver above and beyond the expectations of our customers and clients
Good knowledge of the service industry and the safety standards required
Ability to manage administration with good numerical, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Has the ability to build strong relationships with customers and clients
Has a proactive and practical approach and is able to promote best practices in an operational environment
Our business operates 24hrs a day, 7 days a week you will be required to work shift patterns that meet business needs
Food Hygiene Qualifications
Qualifications or 2+ years experience in an environmental change role
