About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose: The Jennersville YMCA is looking for a Junior Swim Coach to assist the head coach/director of competitive aquatics and all other swim team coaches to support the delivery of a high quality, safe, inclusive, and competitive swim team program.

Responsibilities:

• With supervision, instructs stroke techniques (in/out of pool) at swim practices as assigned by the supervisor
• Assist coaching staff in supporting practices, meets and other team activities, keeping the program goals in mind
• Maintain records as required (attendance, progress reports, etc)
• Actively promote YMCA Character Development and Core Values
• Follow all Branch and Association policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be 15 years of age or older
• Competitive swimming experience or swim instruction experience highly preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate swim stroke techniques
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
• Any additional certifications as required by the YMCA or USA Swimming
