Job description
Requirements/Job Qualifications
- Build and maintain a secure AWS VPC targeted to for government clients. Deploy VPN, network firewall, WAF
- Design, build, and automate new cloud solutions around Docker containers or Kubernetes/CRI-O orchestration platform
- Excellent understanding and experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu or other Debian based distributions)
- Package management – to upgrade and patch applications in the Ubuntu environment
- Good written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player
- Ability to receive alerts and communicate with offshore staff as needed to maintain systems on a 24/7 basis
- Working knowledge of security technologies, firewalls, anti-malware agents and security logging/tracing
Job Duties
- Install, configure and maintain AWS and on-premise environments with production-grade containerized applications, orchestration
- Administration of Linux and Windows Systems with periodic updates
- Assist IT manager monitoring and troubleshooting of web services including weekly web services updates
- Work with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
- Install operating systems on Dell servers and rack them in local data centers
- Troubleshoot and fix Dell servers hardware problems, replace parts as needed
- Install desktop operating systems and MS Office application for on-premise and remote users
- Troubleshoot and fix users’ desktops PCs running Windows or Linux
- Participate in SOC2 and FedRAMP compliance by following established procedures, maintaining documentation and providing evidence to auditors as needed
- Be on call after hours and weekends
Only local candidates will be considered as this is a fulltime on-site position that requires hands-on work with desktop pc’s and servers.
