Provide engineer expertise to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) modernization initiatives and integration of operational improvements.

• This Position is Contingent Upon Contract Award

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist FAA with the preparation and installation of solutions by determining and reviewing system specifications, standards, and programming
• Responsible for design documents and presentations, such as technical analysis and alternatives analysis.
• Writing and reviewing system documentation such as; Requirements Specifications, System Architectures, ConOps, Shortfall Analysis, Evaluation Reports, and other reports as needed
• Coordination with customers, partners, and stakeholders
• System engineering activities required to support the necessary data exchanges, information architecture, prototyping, and demonstrations to progress the evolution of the concepts
• Review technical documents, designs, and implementation and testing documentation
• Provide requirements specification analysis, validation, and tracking
• Develop communication and correspondence with stakeholders and internal teams to meet and execute program objectives

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• At least 10 years of experience with systems engineering, concept development/concept operations and FAA-domain related activities. Reduced years of experience required with advanced degree.
• Detail-oriented, independent, self-motivated, and a proactive team member
• Excellent oral and written communication skills effective with operational, technical, and senior management audiences

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline

Travel

• Project-related travel as required
