A little about us…Sikorsky’s Raider X airframe is the next generation of light attack-reconnaissance warfare. Being developed for the US Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) competitive bidding process, the Raider X is poised to take Army aviation through 2050 and beyond! We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a background in Model-Based System Design (MBSD) to lead the development of the FARA Mission System Architecture and Design model throughout the competition and beyond!
This position is for a Systems Engineer with competence in MBSD, working with customers and stakeholders, and driving innovative modeling solutions across multi-disciplinary engineering teams. A prime candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

This Systems Engineer will:
Requires significant experience with Model Based Systems Design (MBSD), leading system engineering teams, and interfacing with peer counterparts across a broad organization.
Experience with MBSD tools is required. Cameo Systems Modeler preferred.
Occasional travel may be required.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

This Systems Engineer will:
- Apply advanced modeling techniques, principles, and concepts to develop fully traceable, integrated model based architectures
- Design and develop model based functional analysis, impact assessment, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate system architecture and design into modeling artifacts.
- Drive modeling solutions across multi-disciplinary teams and evaluate teams’ progress as the model is edified
- Plan and execute a phased modeling approach aligned with program goals and schedule
- Develop model development metrics to track and report progress to senior leadership
- Develop an MBSD roadmap for the program defining key model capabilities and the business case for their implementation
- Collaborate with program, organizational, and customer stakeholders and build consensus toward specific modeling solutions and functions.
- Design system verification and support certification activities.
- Perform technical leadership over the modeling domain for a large team
- Represent the organization and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.

Desired Skills:
- Design and development of systems and systems of systems, including familiarity of rotary wing mission avionics, sensors, and armament systems
- Performing trades studies, requirements analysis, development, derivation, allocation, and documentation
- Experience in multiple modalities of system modeling including the SysML and DoDAF frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working on geographically diverse teams.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience
- Agile and DevSecOps experience
