Description
As a Tax Analyst, your primary focus will be on income tax compliance and tax return processes throughout the year. In this role, you will utilize Microsoft Excel daily and work in Expert Tax for Puerto Rico income tax compliance. Additionally, you will frequently work with internal and external parties, assisting with tax-related inquiries, and gathering information for tax support. The ideal candidate will display strong organizational skills, an exceptional understanding of income tax, the ability to effectively communicate, and prioritize projects to meet internal and external deadlines.
Responsibilities
· Strong understanding of corporate income tax compliance (Puerto Rico, Federal, and state)
· Assist and support in tax research, tax planning, and keep current on tax law changes
· Prepare and complete tax returns with accuracy and gain increasing responsibility as a result of the review process
· Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and partnerships
· Prepare PR Sales & Use tax and Informative returns
· Streamline and actively maintain current processes
· Support the Finance department and firm on a variety of projects and initiative
Requirements
· BBA or MS degree, in Accounting or Tax preferred
· 2-3 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to perform data mining and data manipulation
· Strong tax technical skills and analytical skills to create highly detailed tax reports and accurately execute tax forms
· Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
· Organized, proactive, and deadline conscious
· CPA or candidate preferred
· Public Accounting experience preferred
· Experience with Expert tax software preferred
· This is an on-site position and will require physical presence at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico office

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
