Job description

We are seeking an experienced tax preparer to serve in our Tax Preparation and Compliance Department for our virtual CPA firm. We hope to engage a seasoned tax tax professional by early December 2022, in time for the upcoming tax season.

We primarily provide tax consulting and tax compliance services to our clients all across the United States. Our client base is primarily retail day traders and investors so many of our clients have significant investment transactions.

The position will involve performing all aspects of tax services. We are looking for a team player; someone who who can work independently.

Responsibilities:

• The ability to prepare federal and state individual/ corporate tax returns.

• Effectively manage tax client relationships during the return preparation process.

• Handle various client tax issues.

• Ability to analyze and independently resolve complex tax and accounting issues.

• Promote firm culture and mentor staff once the team grows

• Any other task or project as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of preparing tax returns

• Experience in with professional tax software software preferred but not required.

Experience with the taxation of investments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
There will be no requirement to work in a physical office setting as our firm is completely virtual. All meetings and client interaction will be done via our cloud based technologies.

• Tax experience: 2 years (Required)

• CPA or EA (Preferred)
