Job description
The Kansas City Technical Services Department is looking for a highly motivated Tech Services Associate I candidate to join our team. A Tech Services Associate will work on providing support to network connected devices, software and network systems including operational and problem-solving tasks with low level of complexity. This position is expected to perform by following instructions and direct guidance; complete tasks within expected time frame while meeting established quality standards.
Position requires full-time work on premises. Remote work is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
A Tech Services Associate I has a basic understanding of computing devices, operating systems, software installation / administration, technical documentation, Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, etc), Microsoft Active Directory, network protocols, and cloud computing through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent work experience). Excellent communication skills including written communication, professional telephone etiquette and good problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Understanding of Microsoft Client Win10 fundamentals, Opening and closing tasks within Remedy/SMART IT, Ability to understand and utilize Bomgar for remote clients,
Following PCI Protocols, A/V Equipment software, Follow me Print, Blancco, SCCM, Imaging tool, AnyConnect, ARC, Equality, CCMP, Proficient in Microsoft Office products, WebEx, VoIP platform, Active Directory, Splunk, Dynatrace, Control-M, Infoblox, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift Servers, PCs and printers in the 40 – 50 pound range.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computing devices, operating systems, software installation / administration, technical documentation, Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, etc), Microsoft Active Directory, network protocols, and cloud computing.
Preferred certifications
- CompTia Certifications: IT Fundamentals+
- Microsoft Certifications: Azure Fundamentals, MTA’s (Microsoft Technology Associate) and Windows Operating Fundaentals
- Cisco: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- AWS: Certified Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect Certification.
