Responsibilities:
Technical Project Management duties include:
The Technical Project Management (TPM) performs project manager duties to ensure efficient execution of assigned efforts.- The TPM maintains awareness on day-to-day issues, plans/prepares for significant project events, assists in the preparation and release of Broad Area Announcements (BAAs) and contract documents.
- The TPM coordinates project direction, including technical development and financial execution and guides and tracks the status of technology development.
- The TPM provides technical support to the entire project team and provides status updates to the Government leadership team. Specific tasks include assisting in identifying and mitigating risks to the program, reviewing of milestone schedules, status reports, cost performance reports, and determining the accuracy of information provided, and reporting on inconsistencies found in the data.
- The TPM also advises engineers on developments in industry, university, foundation research, as well as participates in working groups and team planning offsite meetings.
Qualifications:
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience working DoD acquisition programs to include DoD contracting and program management strategies, generation of Justification and Authority (J&A) documents, Acquisition Strategy Plan, CDRLs, as well as assisting with creation of Statement of Objectives and Statement of Work for research and development (R&D) activities
- Functional experience managing R&D contracts involving financial management to include funding obligation and expenditure planning and tracking; coordinating and planning for significant project events and milestones such as Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and test events; and tracking and evaluating contract deliverables
- Experience maintaining classified data from multiple sources to include assisting in the generation of DD 254s
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: business, economics, program management, math or engineering
- Prefer DAWIA Program Manager Level 3, Science and Technology Management (STM) Level 3, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Minimum of 10 years of Program/Project Management or Project Engineer experience
- Additional qualifications for this position include:
o Strong attention to detail and analytic acumen
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
o Good interpersonal skills in an environment with top tier coworkers
