The Opportunity
As an Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Analyst, you’ll learn the institutional LP landscape from an established, long-term asset manager with a growing asset base. As part of a seasoned team of ODD professionals, you’ll be able to immediately contribute to our mission by monitoring, researching, and conducting operational due diligence on investment managers spanning Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Fund, Infrastructure and Energy asset classes. You’ll be able to tackle important work from day one.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Participate in both initial and ongoing operational due diligence and oversight of externally managed investments, involving investment manager communications, on-site interviews, document review, reporting and other activities.Formal reporting to investment committees and other staff.
- Collaborate in the evaluation and implementation of operational due diligence at Texas PSF, including due diligence technology, instituting best practices, and keeping on top of market developments.
- Monitor the operational risk of managers across a wide range of investments.
- Some travel - dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Maintain operational due diligence files and databases.
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years institutional experience in investment analysis, asset management, financial controls, operational risk, regulatory/investment compliance, or internal audit.
- Experience with financial analysis and software applications including advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word).
