We are currently seeking a Training and Development Associate. This is a remote (work from home) position.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
1: Executes design, development, implementation, and evaluation of workforce performance materials, including work-related guidance and training.
2: Serves as project manager for guidance and training solutions.
3: Ensures proper process implementation, develops and manages relationships with key internal/external partners, provides consultation and facilitates collaboration and consensus among stakeholders.
4: Reviews, edits, and formats a high volume of varied content to ensure standards for branding, readability, usability, consistency, and level of complexity.
Scope: Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Works independently; may instruct or coach other professionals.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Language: Spanish fluency is preferred.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills and Abilities:
Travel: May require up to 25% business travel.
Physical Requirements: Requires the physical ability and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information. Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations and/or lift up to 20 lbs. Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office and/or emergency services relief work. This position supports the Red Cross National Headquarters in Fairfax, VA but may is a remote, work-from-home position. May require travel to participate in meetings, disaster relief operations, and/or conferences in the American Red Cross geography. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during periods of major disaster, often during the late summer and fall months.

- Experience with development of instructor-led and online training.
- Excellent communication skills, especially writing and editing.
- Experience with use of AP style or other style guides preferred.
- Experience with editing within digital content management system(s).
- Ability to work on a team.
- Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Spanish fluency is preferred.

- Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
