A. Job Summary: To make radiographs use in special medical and radiological equipment to radiographically visualize organs not examined by conventional means. Perform general radiographic functions. Performs diagnostic Breast Ultrasound examinations and related support services.

B. Essential Job Qualifications

1. Experience: One year general Ultrasound experience preferred, dedicated breast Ultrasound experience preferred.
2. Training/Certification:
3. Licensure: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required, (ARDMS - BR) preferred

C. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. *

1. Perform exams according to AIUM standards and as per Nyack Hospital protocols; maintain competencies as required for position.

2. Maintain a neat, well organized work area; prepare room prior to patient (ie., test equipment, stock room with needed supplies). Keep room and work area neat and clean.

3. Prepare images to be interpreted by the radiologist.

4. Maintain communication with Lead Technologist and Coordinator as needed to facilitate work flow and patient safety. Offers solutions as appropriate.

5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
