Unit RN Manager (CASTLE ROCK, CO)

Brookside Rehabilitation and Wellness; a sub-acute rehabilitation-short stay facility, is looking for a full-time RN Unit Manager. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained individual looking to ensure excellent survey results, staff excellence, clinical excellence, customer excellence, and business excellence.

Rate of Pay

$43.00 an hour per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and provide guidance in facility nursing care services in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Assess residents’ care needs and take appropriate action.
• Responsible for daily routine operations in order to maintain a safe environment for patients and personnel.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with nurse managers, other departments, and staff.
• Learn and implement detailed knowledge and accuracy of Physician order entry and patient/resident admission into PointClickCare pending confirmation by licensed nurses.
• Receives medical discharge information of new admission and beings process of entering patient information into medical record and organizing hard chart.
• Enforce visitation policies and procedures.
• Performs audits as needed, including infection control, medication carts, new admissions, order verification, nurse aide responsibilities, etc.
• Assists in replacement of staff scheduled on nursing units due to absenteeism.
• Assemble admission packets and medical charts as assigned.
• Follows facility admission procedures and communicates resident admission to other departments, physicians, and ancillary service providers in a timely manner, as directed.
• Promptly reports any resident change of condition if notes to the Director of Nursing.
• Monitors provision of resident/patient showers and facilitates completion.
• Assists with encouraging residents/patients to take showers.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and infection control guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Colorado
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
