Urgent Care / General Practice Veterinarian Job Type: Full-time

Our animal hospital is growing quickly and we are looking to expand our team of veterinarians! We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to join our upbeat team! This particular shift is a mid-day to early-evening shift, from 12pm-9pm Monday-Friday, as well as rotating weekends. For this shift, our veterinarian’s see wellness and sick patients until roughly 5pm, and then see work-in urgent care patients until 9pm.

Our practice serves several types of client/patient visits: emergencies, same day sick-pet visits, appointed patients, drop-off patients, walk-in patients, and an array of ancillary services that include boarding, bathing, grooming, day-camp and day-school.

Job Duties:

• Examine animals (dogs and cats) and vaccinate.

• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment options by discussing with the pet owner.

• Prescribe medications in house or outsourcing as needed.

• Perform a variety of surgeries from routine spay and neuters to wound care and emergency surgeries.

• Supervise dental cleanings and perform extractions as needed.

• Confidently provide superior client education and customer service.

• Make recommendations to pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, and general care.
