Veterinary Equipment Maintenance Technician

Major duties of the position entail:

  • Install medical equipment.
  • Test and calibrate parts and equipment.
  • Repair and replace parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and service for instruments and equipment.
  • Keep records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Review technical manuals and regularly attend training sessions.
  • Take routine inventory of stock and add necessary items to present to our Supervisory group.
  • Order necessary hardware, loaners, and replacements


List of equipment to maintain:

Autoclaves/ sterilizers

Centrifuges

IV pumps

Patient warmers

Dishwashers/Washing Machines/Dryers

Exam/ surgical tables

Implant inventory

Ultrasound imaging equipment

Exam/ surgical lighting

Lab equipment

Scales

Radiology Safety equipment

Synthesis maintenance

Anesthesia machines

X-ray & CT Equipment

Patient/ surgical monitors

Snyder calibrations

Compressors

Drills & instrument sharpening


Miscellaneous duties include:
Learning EzyVet software and assist with assigning proper maintenance. The employee would attend staff meetings and contribute constructive feedback. Work closely with our Supply Chain Coordinator for seamless inventory streaming.

About You:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Detail oriented with good organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communicator who can identify problems and has a solution-oriented mindset

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to physically move materials weighing up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and the ability to move larger, heavier items on occasion.
  • Minimum of two years prior veterinary or hospital experience. Inventory or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Eagerness to learn the skills and knowledge needed for the position with training.

Schedule:

This position calls for a full-time 40-hour work week. This is an hourly wage position based on experience.
