Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
The Videographer / Producer position produces, shoots video in-studio and on location, and edits to create visually impactful videos for television programs and digital platforms of Northwest Public Broadcasting.
Responsible for video, audio, writing, editing and content/project completion. Responsible for estimating and monitoring production budget/costs and timelines for projects from beginning to end.
This position can be located in either the Tri-Cities or Pullman, Washington.
Required Qualifications:
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, mass communications or closely related field and two (2) years broadcasting experience including producing/directing/editing/videography experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Must be willing and capable to travel and layover as required for field production.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to create and produce effective television programming and video productions with high quality technical and artistic value.
- Experience in directing.
- Experience in 2D animation.
- Experience in public media.
- Experience in producing video for IP based services.
- Experience in supervision of student/staff video production crews.

Monthly Salary:
$5,465.55 - $6,031.19
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. For additional information, please review WSU's Administrative Professional Compensation. This is a temporary position expected to end one year after hire date. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if funding is secured to extend employment.
Northwest Public Broadcasting at WSU has been reliably funded for many years, and we expect funding to continue to support this position.
