JOB SUMMARY

Partner with management to supervise night team employees. Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards. Troubleshoot processes to improve efficiency while completing all picking work on a daily basis. Make accurate, timely and efficient business decisions on a daily basis for customers and company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Responsible for the daily completion of all picking processes - oversees the filling and staging of products, invoicing, customer orders from all sales staff, and any other required tasks.
• Contributes and writes comprehensive annual performance reports for picking team.
• Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required, including forklifts and backing semi-trucks into dock bays if needed.
• Train and oversee loaders.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good organization skills and attention to detail. Have the ability to be flexible with work schedule.
• Able to safely operate all warehouse equipment, including a forklift or semi-truck.
• Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Be able to take direction from management, work overtime as required, and maintain an acceptable level of job performance on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of warehouse practices, procedures, and equipment. Including delivery routes.
• Overall knowledge of the AS 400 for invoicing and releasing of picks.
• Working knowledge of the PickRight equipment and reporting programs.
• Working knowledge of Windows Office, emailing and computer operations in general.
• Must arrive at assigned workstation on time and prepared for scheduled shift.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year experience in the industry and a warehouse environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous supervisory experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift and transport a minimum of thirty pounds on a consistent basis and up to 70 lbs. intermittently.
• Must be able to stoop, twist, bend, squat, kneel, and reach at or below or above the shoulder level.
• Must be able to walk and stand on concrete floors for up to 12 or more hours per day
